Shiatsu

An excellent treatment for total wellness, and for when you’re feeling stuck, stagnant or imbalanced. Shiatsu, Meaning “finger pressure” is a form of Japanese massage where we apply pressure to acupuncture points with fingers, elbows, knees and feet. We stretch the meridians throughout your body to move the energy within you. This extraordinary treatment can help rebalance your emotions, grant clarity of mind, improve digestion, open your joints, and assist your body in returning to its natural alignment. Pressure can vary greatly on need and preference. This non invasive therapy is performed on a mat on the floor, fully clothed and will leave you feeling restored, invigorated and grounded. Often times the effects of this treatment last hours and days after!

**Please come prepared to your Shiatsu treatment wearing loose comfortable clothing and a fresh pair of socks.

**Shiatsu or any other form of massage is generally not recommended during the first trimester of pregnancy

Cupping

Cupping is a traditional chinese method of dispersal for the meridians in the body. When certain areas are stagnant or tight, cupping can help pull out excess energy by suctioning the skin with glass cups. With fire cupping we light a flame under the cup before quickly placing the cup on the area. This creates a strong suction and a light round bruise. Afterwards the body often feels completely relieved and relaxed where the area of discomfort was before!

**Please note that this treatment is done directly on the skin. Be prepared to bring a chest covering or undergarment if this would make you more comfortable.
